BUILDING A HOSPICE FOR ELDERLY MONKS IN LAMAYURU IN LADAKH

The people of Lamayuru contacted us to ask us to participate in the construction of a hospice for elderly monks and lamas. Visually impaired, hard of hearing, with difficulty in moving, these people need assistance that they cannot find either in the monastery or in a family they do not have. There is therefore an urgent need to provide them with end-of-life assistance. This residence is designed for about 60 people with a refectory made of cob, a healthier and warmer material than cement, as well as equipped with solar panels. The land is located in Lamayuru in Ladakh. The estimated budget for the project is €200,000. Since a minimum budget has not yet been raised, construction has not begun.
